Reproduction Regency evening dresses with synthetic embroidered net overlay on top
of silk dupioni were made as ballgowns for balls and dances. One was made for
the Winter Dreams Ball in Santa Barbara in February 2016. Both worn on different days for
Winter Dreams 2017.

Made a size smaller than what the pattern suggested for my measurements.
It is a little odd that there are pattern pieces for some of the neck facings, but just the
bias for others. Hard to tell what width the neck facings are supposed to end up. Possibly 1/2-5/8".
If original hook & eye placement is used, there is no modesty panel and just two points of closure
which may gap open. Wear undergarments.
There were markings on the front center skirt that looked like a dart.
There were no instructions for those markings. Unless you want marks down the center of your dress, don't mark them.
Modern undergarments make the bosom and neckline too low and do not look right. I used bodiced petticoat
from La Mode Bagatelle which may need to be adjusted for the low back.
