1950s Reproduction Candy Uniform Dress. Black and white

Candy uniform similar to the ones worn by Lucy and Ethel in the chocolate factory episode. Made this one as a pattern tester for the pattern and it did not come with the chef hat, yet. Chef hat is now included in the pattern. So, my version has the little bandette like the one worn by the supervisor and I used black and white like See's Candies uniforms.

Made out of black and white twill which ended up being a little heavy. If doing again, would look for poplin.

Dress

Black and white twill cotton dress with contrasting collar, cuff, apron, and cap. Black buttons down front. Detachable belt.
Pattern: Laughing Moon 134 Ladies "Go To" Shirtwaist Dress. Size 16 bust and size 18 waist
Adjusted bodice height and width to fit. Added piping to belt.
