1960s reproduction beach cover-up or tunic
This pattern reprint looks like a 1960s wrap tunic pattern with elastic pants thrown in. 1960s reproduction retro green batik Misses' Super Jiffy Wrap Around Beach Cover Up or Tunic and Pants was made in anticipation of hot summers. Cotton green printed batik from stash possibly from Thailand with white bias tape and white cotton gauze elastic waist pants.

Pattern: Simplicity 1133 tunic would probably be best for those with an hourglass or rectangle shape, not a pear shape. I had to add fabric at the sides and then make deeper side darts to try to adjust for a pear shape and it still didn't quite achieve the look of the pattern. I also shortened the length and made the neckline deeper. The pants waistline is at the natural waist and are super easy elastic pants. Error in pattern pants step 4 when making the casing. It says to fold over 3/4" and then turn down 1/4" and sew for a 3/4" elastic. The casing would be less than 1/2". Either the width of the elastic needs to be smaller or the casing wider. Make the casing wider. For lower rise pants, adjust the waist of the pants down.

See how the back doesn't quite close like in the pattern? I still did not add enough fabric for wider bottom than top.
